We are presently in a very difficult real estate market where purchasing a new residence is a complex, detail-oriented and often stressful transaction. Adding to the mix are REALTORS who are representing sellers and buyers, therefore making the best interest of neither party a priority and no one but the agent a winner. When a broker practices as an exclusive buyer agency, the broker only represents buyers in the transaction. This gives the buyer objective, focused and honest assistance in selecting their residence and making sure the financial details are in the buyer's best interest, not the seller's, the seller's agent or anyone else involved in the transaction.
I am a buyers broker. I provide my clients with the diligence, loyalty, confidentiality and accountability they need to make an informed and intelligent decision in this uncertain market. With over thirty years experience as a REALTOR and Broker, i can negotiate exclusively on behalf of my clients best interest once all the details about the property have been professionally evaluated. Lowell, while it is true that you are a buyer's broker, a broker who practices "exclusive buyer's agency" is different. Here's a link to the NAR Broker's Guide to Risk Management: http://www.charlotte-eba.com/NARBrokersGuidetoRiskManagement.pdf , published in 2000, that defines the practice of exclusive buyer agency for REALTORS®.
